OverWorked Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Is there a GP setting to force the start menu to show the Printers link, like the XP start menu does? I know Vista users can right click the start menu, select properties, etc... to show it, but is there a way to force this in GP? I've googled but can't find anything. Thanks.
Guest kerrymoralee9280 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I looked at this and could have swore there was a GPO for this - but I've just had a look through all the GPO's (inc the ones added by CC3) and I can't for the life of me find it. Sorry
OverWorked Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 (edited) It's one of things that *should* be there, but isn't. I can't find it, if it is. Edited April 4, 2008 by OverWorked spelling
jkuzo Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't think there is a GPO for this, but if you create images and configure a profile using a default user you can set it there and copy that default user profile to all users and in turn all users will look identical.
OverWorked Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 (edited) Thanks. I think this might work. I'll just edit the default user profile in netlogon, rather than creating images. It's really frustrating that something as basic as this doesn't have a GPO control. Why do MS have to hide the printers? Edited April 4, 2008 by OverWorked added a bit more
