The salesman who cold-called her convinced her this was mandatory for all shredders before May. Not a shredding service, just an bog-standard ordinary office shredder. I asked her not to but I suspect next week there'll be a new one sitting in the office, and the old one will be in the skip. 7

Just had a quick look and can’t seem to find a recommendation that isn’t on a shredder sales site... P-3 rings a Bell although the first site I’ve found today suggests p-4 and above

Hey, salespeople who aren't scum, if you don't stop the rest of them you'll be painted with the same brush, get your industry together already. On the plus side I get to spend time doing cool stuff with encryption, and have an excuse to force no usb drives

No idea why a damn good shredder here and there wouldn't have done the job just fine... The standards and ideals behind it are from the existing DPA... not GDPR.
enjay Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 My "favourite" so far is that schools must move from Google Apps to Office365, because Google aren't in the EEA so aren't GDPR-compliant.
