Afternoon All,

I am after a bit of advice. We have Sage finance system which is hosted by them and are having issues with speed and messages saying the machine has lost network connection. They believe it to be something "our side" but from all of our diagnostics we cant seem to find a cause. We have unblocked all URL's and ports that they requested, I have ran the machine unfiltered and the issue still occurs, I have setup continuous Pings to their server and google and outputted the results to a text file and while the ping to google is good there are dropped packets in the ping to sage. We have put exceptions in AV & Firewall, tried different PC's and different OS none of which resolves the issue. We have 100mb leased line which is not being maxed out and when the issues happen with sage internet speeds appear good. Anyone have any suggestions? any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

(Assumes access to encrypted laptop with Sage gubbins on). If a finance person goes home and tests it from their house, is it fine?

If it's Sage 200, have you run through the Azure speed tests?

Azure Speed Test

edit: What @FN-GM said too. We have a "Terrible Finance Software" custom category in SW with whitelist, no auth required and no HTTPS interception provided source location is a Finance computer.

When you've put exceptions in the firewall, did you specify a static IP or the URL? I know the likes of Sage have a group of IPs which can change (from past experience).

Thanks for responses! We use Lightspeed filtering currently through schoolsbroadband so we are moving to netsweeper in the near future. We havent tried it from home as staff dont have staff laptops anymore here. And the exceptions were done VIA URL.

For SAGE 200 Online I had to open these ports. Have you done this?

TCP Port 2053

TCP Port 3789

Destination: app.sage200.co.uk
