Ruler vs Salamander - User & Class Creation etc in 365

I'm currently a Salamander Subscriber and its been a god send these last 12 months. I've recently seen a Demo of RULER Connect which looks cool and very similar to Salamander's product (or vice versa) except that you can change some of the settings yourself. Simple question for those who have used either.

 

Which is best or am I right in thinking that its all much of a muchness?

Can't knock Salamander, support so far has been spot on. Don't really need to change settings, a quick email to support and my query is usually resolved within an hour. Plus Salamander as a company are very flexible, I've asked for things I either thought were daft, minor or difficult and every time they've come through. It is a lot of script based tasks though, tailored to your school, so maybe software here isn't necessarily the answer.

 

Will be interesting to see their pricing and what their overall support and product is like though.

Been a Salamander customer for years, and whilst scripts and bespoke systems have never sat well with me, you cant fault them. As it's so flexible I've never really heard "no that can't be done" or "im waiting for the delopers to enable that feature"

 

You email and they fix/ammened it, never had to wait long ever.
