Stormborn15 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Hi, I re-installed a fresh OS onto a Genee Board OPs unit and ever since, the date and time keeps resetting on the board - especially after a long break - ie Monday morning. Can lose it in between Monday and Friday but more so after the weekend. I have reset the date and time and checked the region etc Time sync was set to sync with the internet - but today I changed it to sync with time.gov to see if that will help... Any ideas? TIA
3s-gtech Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Usually most reliable if you set the time sync source as a DC, if available. Domain joined PCs should do this anyway. The BIOS battery is probably flat as stated, but this normally only shows if the device is turned off at the wall. 1

Does it have to be unit specific - ie do I need to get one from the Ops unit supplier or can I get a generic one online?... Thanks

Really easy to do, pop the lid and you'll see a little battery in a holder, just pops out and new battery goes in. 1
