Time and Date keeps re setting on Windows 7

Hi,

I re-installed a fresh OS onto a Genee Board OPs unit and ever since, the date and time keeps resetting on the board - especially after a long break - ie Monday morning. Can lose it in between Monday and Friday but more so after the weekend.

I have reset the date and time and checked the region etc

 

Time sync was set to sync with the internet - but today I changed it to sync with time.gov to see if that will help...

 

Any ideas?

Usually most reliable if you set the time sync source as a DC, if available. Domain joined PCs should do this anyway. The BIOS battery is probably flat as stated, but this normally only shows if the device is turned off at the wall.

Not joined to domain .. Is BIOS battery something that can be re charged/replaced?

usually its replaced and again usually its a cr2032 button battery that is clipped onto the mainboard (basically its a 2cm ish silver disc)

Something I could do? Does it have to be unit specific - ie do I need to get one from the Ops unit supplier or can I get a generic one online?...

We bought some Duracell CR2032 batteries off eBay, like 10 for £5. Really easy to do, pop the lid and you'll see a little battery in a holder, just pops out and new battery goes in.

Swapped out the CMOS battery from another unit while I order a new one... may have to wait till Monday to see if it has done the trick.. fingers x'd
