Either already a 1st Line Engineer looking for your next step or someone with a passion for IT who would like to start and develop their skills in this sector. You would be working within the Education Sector too, so an interest in working and support Schools IT services would also be beneficial. Closing date: Monday 15th January 2018 The Role; Working for a non-for-profit organisation, you would be field based, travelling around various Schools in the Hertfordshire area, helping to support them and their inhouse technology. You will manage your own diary schedule, visiting a few Schools a day, so a lot of travel around the Hertfordshire area will be required, with potentially one day a week working in the office or from home when you are not visiting and supporting the Schools. You will be fully trained as a 1st Line Engineer, gaining technical support skills around some of the following technologies; Maintenance, support and basic administration of Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Apple iOS and Google devices, be trained how to setup and build workstations, laptops, and tablets, to be able to troubleshoot and maintain audio visual equipment, such as interactive whiteboards, projectors, smart TV’s, digital signage etc. and you will gain Compita certifications as a result, continuing to develop and progress through the organisation. Requirements; You will either already be a 1st Line Engineer or have a keen passion for the IT sector and like to train and/or develop your skills, knowledge and experience in this sector, starting promising career. You will be very approachable and customer friendly, so any previous position working in a customer focused environment could be beneficial. You will need to have a licence and your own car which should be road worthy, as there will be a lot of travelling around to various Schools in the Hertfordshire area. You will be confident, a self-starter and have the ability to work independently, as you will be working remotely/field base, managing your own schedule and visiting and supporting the Schools solely.
