Depends what you are trying to achieve? Papercut will run happily without any additional scripts unless you have some particular requirement which is not built in.

We have only ever used information provided by Papercut. Their guides are very good. The product is quite straightforward to implement. Is there something non-standard that you are trying to do?

The PaperCut KB is an excellent place to start, not many answers you cannot find there.
