wesleyw Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Has anyone else tried to install EuroTalk we are having a "slight" problem where it won't run under a pupils login. CC3 XP Pro and Win Serv 2K
petectid Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 A few years ago when I worked in a Language college they used Euro Talk, I seem to remember that there was a Network component that the different language packages were added to. We were using NT4 server at the time and you had to give Domain users more access rights to the share as data is written back to html files for the teacher to assess progress, likewise when users login its recorded in files on the share, no write access and it will not work.
john Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I use eurotalk Network Lanaguage Learning here on a standard XP and Server 2003 network (not CC3 I am afraid) and it works fine. The students and staff must have write permissions to the folder where you installed it on the server. But appart from that its a simple install.
wesleyw Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 Thanks I'll re-install from scratch and let you know! Wes
john316 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Did you ever sort this out? I'm having the same problem but it was actually working at one point but now it doesn't want to know
