Iiyama touch screen bezels.

Hi all,

 

This is an odd one. Does anyone have an Iiyama TH6562MTS 65inch Touchscreen?

 

The one we have has stopped registering touch, and when I was looking at I noticed that part of the top bezel appears to be missing. On the other three sides there is a plastic insert between the front of the actual screen panel, and the inside of the metal frame/bezel (this presumably contains the IR sensors and stuff for the touch functions), but there is nothing there on the top edge. See the photos for a better idea of what I mean.

 

My initial assumption was that this had been broken. But I've not looked closely at that part of the screen before, and we don't have any more of that type of screen to compare it with, nor can I find any photos online that could confirm one way or another.

 

I'm really hoping someone, somewhere has this screen and can let me know whether this is "broken", or "just the way they're made."

We have some of these screens here. I've just been and had a look at one of them, and it's exactly the same as yours at the top:

 

 

But I get what you mean, it does look like something is missing doesn't it!

Unfortunately, now I have to work out why it's not interactive.... Oh well.

I think the touch is powered by USB, check the cable/socket and maybe try another if possible.
