Office 365 - Dealing with DirSync errors for a few users

I have 3 users that are in conflict after using AD connect, these 3 users seemed to escape the changing of their UPNs that everyone else happily accepted. These accounts are now duplicated with one being synced with Active Directory and using an onmicrosoft address and the other is the original cloud user with the correct UPN. Dirsync errors are with duplicate UPNs and proxy addresses. How do I go about cleaning this up? I tried deselecting the affected OU with the handful of users in and doing a sync but the users remain in both forms.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Find the user in Active Directory Users and Computers, open it up and select the attribute editor, scroll down the very long list and find the one that is causing the problem (proxyaddresses i think), click edit and change as needed.

of course i've made that sound really simple but you may need to check what the settings currently are compared to what to what them to be! or you may need to change someone else so that the existing settings work for that user.

Thanks I tried matching the attributes but that was the issue they were conflicting. I have now removed the conflicting values so there was no sync error. I then managed to filter out the users and they have finally been deleted on another sync. I will now fix them up properly and hopefully they will sync and merge with the cloud account *fingers crossed*.
