Repackage Easi-View.

Hi,

 

I am having an issues with TTS Easi-View software where as I need to reploy it over the network silently. Unfortunitly the InstallSheld software that they have packaged it with has no exceptions for installing it silently. So what I am trying to do is repackage it as an MSI using WinInstall or AppDeploy etc... but non of them seam to want to sucsessfully create a package. Could some one please advice or help me out on this please?

I just copy the following to a folder on the machine, runs perfectly fine. I install the driver separately using dpinst.

 

 

Could also run from network share but I have not tested that.

iirc the biggest issue is it wont install unless the device is connected

Thats exactly what I did with the last version. I used GPP to copy all the files accross and it worked fine. My issue is that when I plug the visuliser into the PC and then selected the visuliser, it then BSD the PC (Windows 10 x64). The last bit of software never did this but I was running Windows 7 x64 at the time. I had to upgrade the software due to windows 10. If I were to install the software manually, all is fine and no BSD.

I have mine installed on my software share and a link on the common desktop, multiple user can run it from there at the same time and Windows 10 installs it's own driver for the visualiser that works better than the TTS one.

I do the same as this and just for confirmation it does run fine from a network share.

 

We have Windows 10 so just allow it to install the driver automatically and works no problem. Keeps it nice and simple as all I deploy now is a desktop shortcut to the relevant computers.

What I did in the end, was I used MSI Package Builder Professional.

All works now... But I need to remove the old drivers as this BSDs the machines.
