A number of our staff are running a course that uses the Blackboard mobile app (IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/blackboard/id950424861?mt=8, Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackboard.android.bbstudent&hl=en_GB). When using it at home the program runs fine, however when trying to use it on our school network they are getting the error 'Are you connected? Please check your network connection' when they try to enter the school name, so it looks like it is being blocked by our proxy/firewall. I have found the following URL which lists the required whitelisting (https://help.blackboard.com/Blackboard_App/Administrator/Known_Issues/Firewall_Whitelisting_to_Allow_Mobile_Traffic) and we have added these urls to our Smoothwall allow list and SSL exception bypass list but the error still comes up.

Has anyone else had this problem before and found a way around it? Are there any specific ports that also need to be allowed through our firewall to allow full connection?

Thanks
