Hardware storage solutions

I'm having some trouble, I have a very limited amount of space and need to find a way to maximize my space... I've got an entire corner of the storeroom dedicated to throwing out old equipment (just waiting for the heavy lifters to make an appearance!)

 

But what sort of solutions do you have in place for storage? I've currently got old Royal Mail boxes that are intended for letter packs and are currently being used to store various items. I don't really have any specifics for you, just looking at potential storage solutions. Any input is appreciated!

Gratnells trays (as generally used by the science department, or sometimes in classroom storage furniture), of assorted sizes (they actually go up to quite large) and in semi-transparent "clear" plastic so you can see what's inside. In theory, they stack without lids, although I find they do better with lids if you can get them.

One of our walls is just racking with 3 shelves about 2 meters long, and opposite that we have another wall of drawers about 40 in total again about 2 meters long. I've yet to fully fill all these drawers and shelves and that's with about 80 schools under our belt.

I've just signed up with enviroelectronics (WEE Recycling) and they leave a commercial sized bin, like the cardboard and general waste ones, so it stays outside. Now i don't have to store any old kit! Worth a look.

We use the clear really useful boxes. (So many really useful boxes)

They are great, even if the bin overflows they don't mind they just take the overflow too.
