jmp Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Has anyone managed to get a report working that does lates by student by subject. So that a Head of Dept. can plan intervention. So it, for example, it would only show lates given in Science. Not interested in minutes late here, just actual number of occurrences of the L mark. I can't even find a good way of getting the data out so I can do a pivot table or similar! Any help appreciated. Example Science Lates Name - - Lates J Smith 5 N Jones 4 - - - Updated - - - Sorry, should have confirmed that we're in SIMS here
RootsSchImp Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Hi Jmp, If you add a blue subreport without any fields it will give you a count. So if you have a focus of student and (I'm working from memory here so this might be a bit off) if you've got a periods/lessons subreport that you filter to where attendance mark is 'L' and subject code is 'sc' that should give you lates in science. Good Luck Ed
DSapseid Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Ive done this for per department for the HOD's to see the number of lessons they missed or were late. Report shows: Student Name, SubjectA Present, SubjectA Late, SubjectA Absent, SubjectB Present, SubjectB Late, SubjectB Absent. If found that if i did more than 3/4 subjects it crashed as it was trying to pull too much data. When you add 'lesson marks' as a report field i have got the below criteria set: lesson mark date is after XYZ date subject contains 'subject' Mark is / or \ or L or (every other code) Careful with the subject name i put 'maths' but it wanted 'mathematics'. I found the list in Tools, Academic Management, Course Manager, Maintain course, its the subject column you need to use. Hope this helps!! I could attach a copy of one of the reports as a starting point if it helps?
Knil92 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I created something similar for a school we support, changed it a little bit for you but it outputs to excel so you can filter it for subject.Late Marks Report.zip 1
