I was just wondering is there a certain requirement that monitoring software like Policy Central fulfils that's required for Ofsted, DOE, Prevent etc..

that a good filtering/utm product doesn't do?

We are in Birmingham, and we have had PCE on our systems on our PC for the last 5 years, and recently have had it implemented on ipads.

Also the SMT has signed up to the LEAs PCE monitoring service, were someone off trawls through the log instead of me.

All in all over the past 5 years its caught a handful of not so serious incidents, don't think it really provides any value

We looking to move our fitering to Opendium Web Gateway for filtering and monitoring, it fulfils the PREVENT strategy, so is there any need for this anymore?

All in all we pay;

PCE £733

Futures Browser £650

Monitoring Service £1852

£3235

Hi Owen,

There are better and cheaper alternatives in my humble opinion. That a good technological solution for the monitoring of students is not in doubt - At Exa we are working with schools all over the country to facilitate a brilliant solution at an extremely cost effective price. If you would like me to get in touch please let me know. I will PM you further details.

Regards,

Damon

If you are using o365/ exchange online the power of the security and complience centre is really good in fact the information that is held in your tenant re user access and the likes is massive. You should only be accessing this in line with the law and an information security ofiicer with a policy mind. Don't forget the admin is not exempt from the law!
