CommodoreS Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I am having issues with Konica Minolta Printers\Photocopiers defaulting to 2-sided on the driver. I am using latest windows 10 PCL6 drivers, installing on the server and sharing out to machines via GPO under Users (User Config>Preferences>Control Panel Settings>Printers) as a shared printer from the server share. I have set it as 1-sided on the driver installed on the server, but the machines are still pulling the driver down as 2-sided. Is there any way to make it so the machines get this as 1-sided without having to change it for each user on each machine manually?
mtillbrook Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Yer, this is default from Konica. As far as I remember, you need to change a setting on the machine itself as well as the driver!
ataylor Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) We just change ours on the server? Printer properties - Advanced - Printing Defaults We did have an issue a while back that was failing to pull these settings through but i can't remember what the solution was! - Konica support was helpful though. No matter what settings are on the server driver, the machines are pulling the driver down with default settings as 2-sided.
ataylor Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) Do other setting pull through? such as changing paper tray or auto color? Edited September 14, 2017 by ataylor
ataylor Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) Not sure if this helps at all. Edit - I think my original issue was the "Share My Tab" checkbox was unticked. Edited September 14, 2017 by ataylor
