Theldron Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Hi all, Over the summer, our assembly hall has been used by a local company (not naming who). Our powered assembly hall projector screen has been ripped from the roller (which is on the ceiling) and is currently laying in a crumple on the stage. Some of the hooks that hold the screen to the cable on the side of the screen have been broken and there is a slight rip on the side. When you push the button you can hear the motor trying to pull up the screen. I think that it will have to be replaced, but I have been asked to see if I can get it repaired. Any ideas of a company that can do this? We are in Gloucestershire. Cheers
3s-gtech Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Looking at the cost of electric screens now, I can't see how it'd be economical to repair. £100 seems to go a lot further than it used to when buying them! Our old screen gradually fell apart as the border separated from the inner and it mangled up. Wasn't expensive to replace, and that was five years ago.
Andrew_C Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Depending how big it is, I'd agree with 3s. If it is BIG - try Harkness Hall. Their website seems borked.

One of ours the motor died and it was cheaper to get a new one. Maybe you can claim on your accidental damage cover if you can't bill for the damage? Meldrew
