Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Education

I have built a network using Windows 10 Pro and am wondering if I should have used Windows 10 Education instead.

 

So far the only thing I have found is a GPO setting to disable the windows store which works in Windows 10 Education but not on Windows 10 Pro. By using Windows 10 Pro does anyone please know of anything else like this that I might come up against that might cause a issue down the road?

There are also GPO settings that don't apply to newer builds of Win10 Pro (that used to apply on older builds). For example:

 

Turn off Microsoft consumer experiences
Disable all apps from Windows Store

 

I'd go Education if you have the licensing for it.

I personally would gradually shift across. Don't rush it, use it as an opportunity to shift to a newer build or similar. Edu isn't that different so it's no great change.

Aside from the GPOs MS keep removing from pro, education has applocker, direct access, UE-V, credential guard, and device guard.

 

I think applocker is key, much better then SRP. It was the main reason I moved to enterprise when we did the Windows 8.1 migration.

Windows Education is designed for the Education market so that's what we have always used.

 

It's pretty much the same as Enterprise.

I'm now blocking the store in Pro by adding a %programfiles%\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore* SRP block
