[android] Starting a powerpoint automatically

Tried everything we can think of. We have signage which works wonderfully on Powerpoint. We can obviously get it to start manually over a VNC connection but it would be *lovely* to automate it.

Smart TV, starts android and plenty of apps to enable us to start other apps automatically. However what we want to achieve is to start a slideshow automatically.

 

What we've tried:

Online Presentation mode; entirely hokum, doesn't even work with 365 accounts.

3rd party Powerpoint viewers - most are also rubbish including the popular WPS Office which won't load from Onedrive for Business, only personal.

Closest I got with Bluestacks was using "Add to homescreen" for files in Office, but as the smart TV doesn't have a homescreen...

Powerpoint Online - using a link to the file to open in PPO via Chrome in Kiosk mode. Doesn't work.

 

Any hints? Don't want to use any addon hardware if possible; the TV turns on and off automatically as per schedule, and the less there is to go wrong the better!
