Error connecting to SIMS database

Hi there,

 

Its my first time posting here so apologies if its in the wrong area or i provide insufficient information at first. I am trying to connect to our SIMS database using dbupgrade to apply a patch specific to our school so cant use Solus deployment however i keep getting the following error:-

Database connection failed. "startindex cannot be larger than length of string. parameter name startindex"

 

 

Any suggestions or help to address the cause would be much appreciated.

Can you log in to to sims on your sims server rather than your client machines ?

 

As a result if you can copy your sims.net folder to you client machine to get them working.

Hi, Yes no problem logging into SIMS.net from the SIMS server

Just realised - i was being a numpty - selected the incorrect upgrade option on dbupgrade. I was selecting the "run the following SIMS database upgrade file " rather than "run all SIMS databse upgrade files in the following directory" option. All sorted now. Thanks
