  4. That doesnt appear to be running where you mentioned. Could be the cause of the problem? Tried to run it manually from the file location but then get the following error "Cannot start service from the command line or debugger. A winwows Service must first be installed(using installutil.exe) and then started with the ServerExplorer, Windows Services Afministrative tool or the NET START command."

  8. Thanks guys. Not had a chance to look at today will get back on it on Monday. There are a lot of server updates which haven't been done for a while it would appear. I plan to first get all updates up to date and take it from there. - - - Updated - - -
  9. Thanks i did try to log a call with the LA however they say they cant help since its Capita that have installed this!! Capita say i need to contact the LA since they provide the SIMS support. so im going round in circles and its frustrating. Seems like non of them are willing to help.

  11. Thanks. Localhost is in proxy exceptions and service running. We use Smoothwall as our proxy/firewall
  12. Hi Has anybody come across issues launching sims services manager? I am unable to launch the SIMS Services Manager as it tries to connect to localhost:50000 then shows "this page cant be displayed". Something simple im missing? Sorry im new to this school and still familiarising myself to all the systems here. Thanks
  13. Just realised - i was being a numpty - selected the incorrect upgrade option on dbupgrade. I was selecting the "run the following SIMS database upgrade file " rather than "run all SIMS databse upgrade files in the following directory" option. All sorted now. Thanks
