HELP:::Internet Timer

Hello Everyone.

 

my friend has set up a Internet cafe with 5 Pc's, he is looking for a software to be able to time internet access as he charges hourly.

i was wondering if there is a simple program to put on each pc so when a user goes onto the internet it starts a timer, and then a reminder pops up say 5 mins from the end of the hour, and to make it even better it logs him off after his time is up.

 

Any ideas please.

 

this would be good at our school aswell i think. as the kids are a nightmare.

Our kids have now access to sooooo many anomynous proxys we cant keep up. any ideas on this aswell.

Have a look at AutoIT3 (http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3). You could easily knock up a program to run in the background at startup and start a timer when a web browser opens. Logging them off after a certain time would be easy too.

As far as I can see, the Cafe Cup Classic is free software that can manage time and pricing. It's client/server software and looks pretty easy to set up.

just have to alter the timing and your off. You can make it so each computer has its own copy and change it accordingly.

I'd agree. AutoIT 3 is sweet and this would be quite possible. In addition, AutoIT has a wealth of Help files to consult as well as a superb online community of users who are good at using the program and willing to help newbies.
