Motorised Projector Screen problems

Hi all

 

i am currently having issues with a motorised projector screen where it comes down in stages of a couple of inches meaning you have to stand there and press the down button every couple of seconds until it is down, when the screen is down and it needs putting back up it goes straight back up! has anyone else ever had a problem like this?

 

screen is a Sahara screen doesn't say the model number anywhere i can see

A bit of a long shot but if you are using a remote to control it are there any separate manual buttons you could also try?

 

We had trouble with ours once. It was in the main hall and is massive. It became unstuck from the main roll and all of a suddent the whole screen peeled off slowly and landed on the floor. Eventually one of the site staff repaired it by stripping out the motor and replacing it for with a replacement part. It cost less than £100 which is less than I thought it would.
