kcalderw Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 We are having a renovation project on our school done over the summer. I have a spare Logitech C920 that I'd like to use for this. Is it possible to embed snapshots taken every few minutes (not live video) on our website?
LeMarchand Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Not at that school any more, and not in a position to access the scripts, but IIRC I did this by embedding a picture in the site and scripting an ongoing copy/rename of the (most recent?) picture the camera took and using Filezilla's CLI to upload it to wherever the website is looking for the picture.

LeMarchand Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Pretty sure you can use command line to get VLC to take snapshots, but not sure how this would save bandwidth from the method I suggested as you still need to get the pictures to wherever your site is hosted.
