Hi all,

 

I need to source an HP Xeon E5-2407 2.2Ghz CPU kit.

(With heatsink and fans etc - hence 'kit')

 

HP P/N: 676948-001

 

The CPU is obsolete but I have a perfectly good server in need of another CPU.

 

 

Any idea's where I might find one?

 

 

(Not really too keen on ebay and amazon - must be new - not refurbed.)

You'll not find a new one for cheap, but I can do you a system pulled and tested 100% working perfectly one for just £30. Is there any reason you wouldn't be interested in a used one?

In my experience of selling refurbished servers I have never had a Xeon CPU fail, they're the most reliable art of the whole machine

 

Also. The HP P/N you gave only identifies the CPU, not the heatsink or fan assembly that you need.

I have never had a problem buying a Xeon processor from a refurbisher. Xeon and Opteron processors are normally pretty robust.

Its an HP 360e Gen8. I do need the whole kit - heatsink and fans.

I think I have a couple of suppliers now anyway. Coo they're expensive for such an old chip !
