I have been experiencing an error that is really annoying myself and members of staff for the last 6 weeks. Upon logging in to Office 365 using Google Chrome the user will receive the following message for the first sign-in attempt.

I've exhaustively narrowed down the possibilities and I seem to have found a link but I can't quite put my finger on the specific problem.

If moved from one OU structure to another one that has the exact same GPO's then it works fine (and the error message returns on moving it back to the original OU).

I have found this article on Google but I don't see anything of use to my situation. We use password sync which we have tried disabling and also clearing the credential manager all to no avail.

I have recently started experiencing this issue for my users. Did you find out what it was?

I'm afraid not, I have tried all sorts of solutions but the only thing that made sense was it being an issue on Microsoft's end.

It seems to occur to those using Azure AD Connect and still wasn't working for us after disabling Password Sync. I'm just waiting for this to be addressed by somebody with more time on their hands and more knowledge so I can take the information back to Microsoft.

Potentially useful links:
