A lightbulb has just gone on as he installed it via a RDP session

Rookie mistake :p

Still didn't make a difference. :p

Hi @DJ-1701, please PM us your contact details and we can open a support call to resolve the issue you are seeing with the Notification Server.

Thanks very much @NetSupportTechSupport but I got it working, for some reason I needed to manually allow TCP port 443 on the server, then it worked fine. :)

Apologies if it has already been asked earlier in the thread. Where do I find out the number of licences we've used? I've installed in on a bunch of test machines and we are now looking at pushing this out but not necessarily everywhere. I'd just like to know how many we've used and what we have left.

Morning - if you are referring to NetSupport DNA then the main welcome dashboard will show you the total number of licences used and how many are remaining ( right hand column of the summary).

Hope that helps.

I'm after the number of licences used for NetSupport Notify.

From my understanding is that they only show up when connected to the server. You can see the agents connected by double clicking on the globe in the system tray of the server.

Hi Penfold,

The NetSupport Notification server has an icon that appears in the notification area, if you right click and select open it will list the currently connected notification agents and the total number connected at that time. Obviously, if devices are not powered on they won't connect to the notification server therefore this will not tell you how many devices in total have a notification agent installed. You would need to use a third party app to tell you how many copies of the software are installed - and therefore whether you have enough licenses to cover all machines been switched on and trying to connect to the server. (not trying to push our other solutions but NetSupport DNA would give you this information ;) )

Regards

@Matt_NetSupport - We have an idea of how many licences we would need and we are in the process of pushing out the client using 150 licence offer. What we want is to purchase enough to cover our site but also know how many we are using already in our testing.

Can't believe I missed this!

I don't suppose there is any chance we can still get in on the offer? :)

After your kind words about NetSupport DNA - happy to squeeze you in. PM me your contact details ( Name, School, Email address etc and will get the team to sort you a licence)

With all our new Edugeek friends ready to send Notifications and alerts, be great to see how you have customised your alerts.

It would be really nice to have a few examples shared here of how your school alerts look (quick screenshot of the alert with your branding) or a photo of a full-screen alert on a display panel.

Here is ours on our TVs and Desktops ready for demo at ISTE 2017 in texas nex week.

We always like to have examples we can show schools on the product website of how it can be used, so any help would be really appreciated.:D

Hi! I was really excited to look at using this in the primary school where I work as we are working on our lockdown procedures and are looking for a tool just like this (and out of all we've looked at, this looked like the perfect option!). I know we are officially too late for the offer, but is there anything you could do for us?

I seem to remember chatting to NetSupport at BETT two or three years ago about another one of your products and I was impressed with it back then!

Gutted to read this thread tonight and find out we're too late!

Our school had an intruder on site a little over a week ago who went on to attack a caretaker at a neighbouring school...needless to say, we've been looking into improving our lockdown procedures.

Netsupport Notify looks perfect. Please let me know if there is anything you can do for us!

Thanks in advance!

What features are in the pipeline.

It would be good if the system would send the notification once a pc is switched on say for example message of the day.

What about sending images i know it goes beyond the point of the program but could it be an option?.

Happy to take on feedback and add to the melting pot for the next update. Pictures etc not the primary purpose of the product as you say, but might be a nice twist . As an emergency notification tool the concept of notifying absent people later isn't really a factor, but we are looking at that option for an update.

The latest update included the full screen alerts for digital signage, that seems really popular so would like to add more options for that too.

As always, more requests we get them will try and prioritise on common features.
