FN-GM Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 If we are a MAT can we please have 150 for each school or just 15 for the whole MAT?
Al_NetSupport Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 If we are a MAT can we please have 150 for each school or just 15 for the whole MAT? Hi thanks for the question @FN-GM . Our offer is for 150 free licences for each edugeek member. That said if you are part of a MAT, (which i am too) then i'm happy for a PM and to see what we can do. It's a really popular solution so i hope everyone will get some great benefit from it. Typically in schools, you install it, customise the alerts visually to be school colours and logo, set up groups and then staff can ( if given access) send alerts from the Desktop App, Mobile Apps ( iOS and Android) or from an embeded object in the school intranet. When you send it you can decide if auser has to acknowledge it, how long it stays on screen etc. etc. Tends to be : IT "Mail Server is down don't call us we know" "Doing maintenence at 4pm make sure you are signed out" Reception "Barry there is someone with a delivery for you in reception" "Security Alert - please stay in your classrooms until further notice" Staff "Don't forget we have teachMett after school today" "Can a member of SLT come to my classroom to assist ASAP" (You can also use full screen on School display panels.) The cool bit in NetSupport Notify is you can then track and see who has acknowledged the message, so you have a proper audit trail afterwards. http://www.netsupportnotify.com/screens/images/Notification-history.jpg 1
DrCheese Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 We bought this a few months back & the reception staff love it. No longer need to send emails hoping staff have OWA open, they can spam their monitors until they respond 3
NB9457 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Does the 150 licences mean you can send messages to up to 150 people?
chris_uk Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 We use NetSupport Notify, it is an install and forget app. Our Attendance officer loves it for the instant messaging aspect for telling somebody to save the registers or to complete them. We have also tied it in with our Emergency lock down procedure policy with 5 additional members of staff who can send messages. We have attached a really annoying sound that plays when the emergency message appears on screen. Well done to NetSupport who are support schools with this. 1
Al_NetSupport Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Does the 150 licences mean you can send messages to up to 150 people? Can install on up to 150 devices. The agent on each PC, talks back to the central notification server app and the licence simply controls how many devices can connect to the notification server at any given time. Al.

Thanks, Chris, really appreciate the feedback. Great to hear it being formalised into part of your lock down policy, seems to be the way schools are going and another way of evidencing for Ofsted. Our offer is for 150 free licences for each edugeek member... I would like to be the first to welcome FN-GM1, FN-GM2, FN-GM3, FN-GM4, etc. to the forum. Seriously though looks really cool, thank you. 7

For anybody who isn't sure about taking up this free offer, please do. With recent events going on in the country it will be well worth having this tied in with your lock down procedure when you get one. 1
fiza Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 @Al_NetSupport - What if we have 2 members of Edugeek from the same School? 300 licences? We already have Notify but our Primary doesn't. 150 licences would be great for them. 1
Al_NetSupport Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Can it run on ChromeOS please? Hi, i'm sorry, currently you can send Alerts from : Windows, IOS and Android devices to any Windows or Mac desktop PC ( or display screen ). 1

I am of course now on the lookout for @N-GM1, @FN-GM2, @FN-GM3 and @FN-GM4 Trying to be fair and generous - whilst not ending up with a totally P**** sales team 2
penfold Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 How much is this normally? The reason I ask is we would need more than 150 licences and at the moment we don't have any budget. It would be a good way to test how much it would be used though.

Trying to be fair and generous - whilst not ending up with a totally P**** sales team We already have 500 licences so a little top up won't hurt, so I have applied for our School. We have a Primary too which doesn't have Notify so our other Edugeeker has applied on behalf of the Primary. Both Schools are DNA users so we are already customers! I hope that seems fair? 1

We offer it in packs, which you can add together to meet your required capacity. 75 user pack - £100 150 user pack - £175 (or free for you lovely edugeekers ) 250 user pack - £250 500 user pack - £400 1,000 user pack - £600 packs go up to 5,000, and some trusts and school districts stack these, i.e purchase a 5000, 1,000 and 500 pack to give themselves capacity for up to 6,500 devices. *The licences are permanent and can be used forever. We do provide optional maintenance ( support and updates) at 20% per annum for the licences, so if you wanted maintenence next year on your free licences it would cost £30 Hope that helps. DJ-1701 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 What about yearly maintenance? If we get 150 free licences for our Primary School what would they pay going forward? Hmmm... I'm actually interested in what the yearly maintenance covers?
fiza Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Hmmm... I'm actually interested in what the yearly maintenance covers? Upgrades and support 2
Al_NetSupport Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 Hmmm... I'm actually interested in what the yearly maintenance covers? I think @fiza has kindly covered for me, but yes to confirm, the "optional" annual maintenance fee covers the school for support with NetSupport Notify and also entitles you to any updates released for the product during the maintained period. I do want to stress, we are giving away a free lifetime licence, you don't have to purchase maintenance next year, your product will carry on working, but given the product is super cheap, hopefully, this won't be a barrier to trying. Al. 2
6Foot2 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Thanks, Al. I have filled in the form and I expect someone will get in touch next week. Meantime, as I am not familiar with the product, I am guessing that we can limit who can send messages? I think our Head will want to use this from time to time once installed, but I also think that he might want *some* members of staff not to be able to send.
