Nwaynebarwell Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Hello We are currently experiencing issues with machines where whenever you go on a CS6 product it will ask for the Adobe id and then the activation code, once done it will load into photoshop (or any other product being used) and then ask for activation again, if you do the code or in fact press continue trial it will work fine however if you close photoshop and re open it, it will ask you again for activation, likewise with when log off and log back in it will repeat the process of asking to log in and activate. we are running windows 7 on the machines, and i did have to reinstall Photoshop on the machines due to it asking me to. if anyone can help that would be great
Arreks Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Sounds like an issue with APPDATA.. permissions? is the profile being deleted?
Nwaynebarwell Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Permissions should be fine as majority of machines on site have working CS6 programs, I'm planning on re-imaging the machines, I will let you know if that works
Jawloms Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 We've started having this recently. Activating it when logged on as the administrator seems to sort it. Adobe's official answer is to put the details in a notepad document on the desktop and paste them in every time.......
Nwaynebarwell Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 I just tried running as an administrator but no luck just keeps on doing it.
3s-gtech Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 We also had this last week. Turns out my admin image (made with AAMEE) was a bit broken and something didn't work on the activation side. I made a new image and it works fine.
bossman Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 @Nwaynebarwell We had troubles like this and if my memory serves me well one of my technicians uses a license fixing tool from adobe: Adobe - Adobe Licensing Repair Tool Don't know if this will work for you but its worth a shot. Also if you you are using Smoothwall as your proxy try watching the URL's that the application is trying to connect to when that user or a test user accesses Adobe products. Good luck
Nwaynebarwell Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 Hello i re imaged the machine and it looks like that has seemed to work, strange issue
