Papercut/MFD Problem

Our MFD have started to develop a fault where printing is so slow.

 

A single page, 35 copies, can take up to 10mins to get completed.

 

The print from the computer is instant, the first page is printed quick enough but then it is like the copier thinks about each one before printing.

 

Can someone explain the process from the MFD point of view. Does it download the print job and print it 35 times, or does it have to download the file 35 times?

 

MFD supplier not being very helpful so just trying to see where the fault lies

What make of MFD? Configuration varies dependent on the Make and Model.

Just check the Print Que and check some one didn't send a Mass of Images to the Printer, Try Re-booting the papercut Print Server then the printer and Test again.

Could be a Printer issue, (They have a HDD) Inside this could be failing?

So job queue is large. Some show as printed though? But still in list

Can you log in to the Printer using the ULM? (Universal log-in manager) Can you ping the Printer and Ping Server?

Ping is fine.

I've just turned off hardware detection for page count on one copier and seems much quicker so will monitpr
