Windows 10 Enterprise on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Scaling or Display Issue

Hi all

 

Just wondering if you have encounter persistent issue with text either too small and either too big which sounds like a display scaling problem. Often the user has really tini tiny text, or excel/word spreadsheet opening half (see screenshot)

 

Is there a fix for this? Is this a common problem?

What's your scaling set to in the display settings? I'm using Win10 Enterprise CBB on a Surface Pro 4 right now and don't see any of these issues in Office 2016.

 

My display scaling is set to 200%.

the scaling is set to 200% and windows is up to date (1607) and as well as Microsoft office 2016. The computer is connected to the ms surface dock.

1703 is out now and has some DPI-related improvements (inc. multi-monitor DPI scaling which would probably help if you have a monitor connected to your Surface dock).

Yeah it is.

 

Does a fresh users profile make any difference?

 

EDIT: I dont seem to have this issue with my o365 office and 200% scaling but its also got CU and I am on the slow ring so office is updated monthly.

Ok great.

 

I havent tried fresh profile because this surface pro 4 is brand new and to the new user. Might try that as last resort.

Nah I have the Pro 3 but use 200% dpi as well. My build of Office 2016 is 16.0.8067.2032 which came out today due to patch update Tuesday.

I am using First Release for Current Channel (Insider Slow)
