Version 5.48 has been released but only to a few sites so the latest available version is 5.42.

I still have a Securus server here sitting in a box!

A rep came round months ago to show how it works and spent most of the day trying to get it working.

Turns out the Group Policies were stopping the client running on logon, the rep keeps phoning to come back and "sort it out" but never seems to show.

Mabye if I tell him I'm going to stick it on E-Bay he will come and take the thing away.

Right now it's taking up valuable shelf space!

Just changing the subject ever so slightly, has anybody got this working on a Novell Network, as we are due to trial a Securus server soon ?

At least for Securus, there is only a Windows client... As far as I know, eSafe uses the Policy Central engine, and that also only has a Windows client..

 

As long as your clients are windows based, then Securus at least won't care about your NOS.

I take back what I said. I'm starting to find that sometimes violations don't come through as they happen.

Yes, we had a trial...just give the box an IP and install the client on the desktops (easy with zenworks). The only problem we had was getting the rep to stop chasing us up to make a sale after the trial had ended.

have you tried Impero trial, version 3 has just been released, have to admit that there are a couple of places that need patching but all around a great product at the moment, call jason large at A2Z Computers he will give you a trial 01509 633 550 in my opinion its the best out there
