Big Companies With Poor Websites

I have just booked some tickets with Singapore Airlines. The website is dreadful, it was so slow! During the booking process everything is in a fancy layout but it used loads of space so I had to keep scrolling. The website isn't new its been out for ages. they had 5 years ago, it wasn't as visually appealing, but it did the job much better.

 

Based on this, for a bit of fun, I thought I would start a thread about large companies that have poor websites. Does anyone else have any examples?

That's most local newspaper websites. I know they have a poorly journalised load of nonsense to flog in some paper every now and then but having websites as bad as theirs are just unfathomable.

I'm not sure if it has improved in the past 6-12 months but the last time I ordered something from the Argos website it was absolutely dire. Amending, cancelling or tracking the progress of an order is basically impossible online. The only way to do any of those things was to phone them up or e-mail which is frankly ridiculous!!!

And don't forget the nagware to disable the ad blocker as you are killing local news websites by having it turned on....

This kind of falls into this topic www.nissan.com, unfortunately Nissan didn't have the foresight to buy this domain, so Nissan computer repairs did, Nissan took him to court and he won. Now if only he would improve his site just a little.

I actually dont particularly like Amazons site especially the Prime videos section. I just think the whole thing is a bit of a mess even though I use amazon all the time.

 

EDIT: Also look at http://www.realtek.com/ straight from the 90's and still best viewed with "Best viewed at 800x600 with IE 6.0 or Netscape 7.02 or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6 or higher. " and their chips are in everything.

Is it just my Google Chrome or does the stock checker not work for anyone else on Argos? Resorted to using the app on my phone but just thinking it may be related to my ad blocker now!
