Anyone got an alcatel frog modem or similar they dont want?

I need a smoothwall compatible ADSL modem for home as my netgear router is becoming very problematic now as its gettng on for 4 years old and needs reseting alot for some reason .

 

So I am building a smoothwall box from an old compaq SFF and need a modem. Must be USB.

 

I know some of you probably have one in a dark dusty draw from when you bought a router .

Will pay postage etc and could stretch to enough money to buy you a pint or two as well.

I've got one that I plan to change for an ethernet modem/router soon. If no-one else can come up with one you're welcome to it when I get round to changing (in a week or so).

@Sylv3r sorry I missed your post until now. I quick browse of the smoothwall forums reveals a few problems with that stingray modem but thatnks for the offer .

Tbh theres complaints about the frog as well but theres lots of people who say theirs is working fine so that will do for me .

Are you sure mine is not a stingray too? It certainly has that "flat fish" kind of look.

Hmm dam your right :oops: hmm I would still like to test it in that case though just to see if things are any better now with newer patches of smoothie and firmware etc.
