gpjt Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Hi, Has anyone had the experience of installing PS Financial at another site, so that it connects to what we have? We have a PSF server onsite. Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Thanks
Liam Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 We provide a remote app. Works well until you use services like emailer and the links don't work.. we aren't connected you see.. if you are it's easy.
localzuk Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 We've just gone live with PSF across 7 sites. All users connect back to a single RDS server at the primary site.
Willott Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Experience of doing it both ways. Feasible doing it either way dependent on domain trusts etc being in place.
localzuk Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Are you connected via wan @localzuk We have a VPN in place between sites, yes. For PSF, this would be necessary for things like the scanning of invoices, as the scanner on the remote site needs access to an SMB share on the PSF server.
Liam Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 How did you manage the email side of things? The experience is poor for those not on the same site as the server
localzuk Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 How did you manage the email side of things? The experience is poor for those not on the same site as the server Its all done via the RDS server. So emails send via our onsite email relay server. They don't actually send any emails from their own PCs at all - its all on the server.
Liam Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Ah my staff do all there things via email like authorising orders etc. It's a pain . I'll have to look into it as part of bigger project
