rad Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Scenario (Rm Network .. ok ok) User has a printer on their desk and also a connection to the networked photocopier. Each day the user has to change their default back to their desk printer. Is there a way to make the default "stick" within the computer which wont change when they log on. My last resort would be to share out the desk printer add it to the printer server and assign only to that computer... but I dont really want to do that.
Edu-IT Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I'd assume its because the photocopier is marked as default in the RMMC so is taking priority. Remove the photocopier mapping from that machine in the RMMC and add the photocopier locally to the computer too?
rad Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 The photocopier isnt mapped via the RMMC. It was manually installed on this persons computer using the IP address. So both printers were manually installed. The default isnt staying as the local printer after a reboot.
