How do you handle the endless award/certification/whatever logos?

Every so often the school will become a Certified Member of SomethingOrOther and there'll be a logo that the dept/person behind it would like to be proudly displayed somewhere on the school website.

How do you find the balance between displaying the logo, not playing favourites, but also not making it an eyesore? At the moment we've started to put new logos on the page of the dept that won/acquired them, but that's a stop-gap measure at best.

Thoughts so far are:

  • Logos all go into a rotating banner.
  • SLT pick X number of logos that actually fit into the design
  • Have an "awards" page and hive off all but the most impressive/necessary to that.
  • Something else....

We've generally added the most important to the footer of our website or have a separate page for Awards / Accreditation's and a brief description for what it actually is.

We used to (site is now being redone) have two main logos in the footer then a Awards page with all the logos, little text about what they are for and links to the bodys.

Think the new site is going to have a rotating banner of the logos that will be hyper linked to the bodys pages.
