'Other User' Before Login Box

So randomly the majority windows 7 machines with the exception of about ten from 200 have started to display an 'other user' box prior to login. Nothing has changedin group policy and i have confirmed that it is running via RSOP etc.

 

I have 'not not require ctrl alt del' and 'do not display last username' enabled in GP.

 

its really bugging me thats its doing this now. At first i thought it may be becuase i started a roll out of .Net 4.6.2 but its happening on machines i havent deployed it to too.

 

I have tried removing it from the OU and adding it to another OU with no success.

 

ANy suggestions?

I've started to get this too. Seemed to start around the time we rolled out the Impero v6 update, but can't say it is that.

 

Again we have the Ctrl+Alt+Del disabled and don't display last username enabled so Windows should sit at the login prompt, but it now shows Other User instead.

Yes I have been trying to sort impero v6 too. How random. I guess you have rolled out .net 4.6.2?

Have you logged into any of the machines using impero? When i do this with netsupport it gives me the other user option before the normal box.

Yeah I've seen this happen when using Netsupport, logging in and then restarting usually sorts it for me.

Tried that.. didn't work.. not tried logging in again. I'll try Monday

Indeed when I rebooted a couple of times it was back to normal. Just coincidence I was running the dot net update! Thanks chaps

Try this group policy trick to set Windows 7 to display your last logged-on user, other than the "Other User" option.
