Using W10 Defender for AV

Hi all, what is everyone's opinion of switching to Defender for AV?

 

So I'm finishing my W10 rollout this Easter, by default I deploy an image and Defender is running and updating until I push our AV out, sort of as a failsafe!

 

I'm a bit cavalier with updates and the PC's just update direct from MS, no WSUS, did the same with 7 for years without an issue!

 

So I'm thinking, do I just leave them with Defender running and leave the extra AV?

Thank, I completely missed that when I had a scan... not a good start for a Monday!

Personally I wouldn't use it due to the lack of reporting and central management capabilities

If you are leaving them unmanaged then no, if you are using sccm then yes.
