I hope this is allowed by admin. We are involved with organising a Free Google for Education event at Google London. We are reference school for Google using G Suite for education and have a 1:1 scheme with Chromebooks and will have 1500 students involved with this by Easter 2017.

Take a look at the flyer below and sign up through our Google partners page.

If it wasn't our last day of term I probably would've gone the London one.

Same. Why did it have to be the last day of term?

We did suggest that it being on the last day of term it may put some people off, although it does allow you to get offsite a day earlier :)

Is anyone else from here going ? :)

Yes, I'll be there, along with a chap from the finance team here to make sure I don't accidentally sign up for something that costs lots of money. Assuming we have name badges, mine will most likely read "David Hicks", if that's any help spotting me.

Im sat right in the middle of the room. Front row behind the tables on the Chromebook. I have a dark blue polo shirt.

EDIT: Now everyone has a Chromebook! I am on my own black Dell Chromebook.

We found each other eventually - me and @DeGrimmy were in the team that won the build-the-tallest-tower competition / lesson!

Just trying to think through what I actually learnt from that day. That competition / lesson, in itself, wasn't actually a very well prepared / run lesson, but I think I learnt more from the stuff that went wrong than I would have done from a lesson that went perfectly and seemed effortless. The chap from finance who was meant to be coming along with me couldn't make it in the end, so I probably missed out on some of the more business-case type questions to ask Google about moving services over to their system.
