SERIF Complete package discontinued. What to get next

Photoshop maybe the benchmark that most photo editing apps like to aim for but i doubt very much school users will be using most of the features in many of the photo editing apps available on the market whether free or paid for.

I have had students coming in requesting Photoshop for their lessons i just smile and say use paint.net or Gimp because that's what we can afford and I will happily install it for them.

We need, photo and movie editing at the least throughout the site.

 

 

Is photoshop elements still a thing? that was cheaper.

i've just had a quote to replace the serif suite and they are suggesting a very reasonable £600 for a 3 site licence covering almost 1000 PCs at 3 schools.

 

We will retire PagePlus and DrawPlus, but continue to use MoviePlus.

 

Would you mind sharing who quoted you and what items that was for? I'm looking for similar.

Yeah it's OK for home use, not sure about even if they do site licences etc.

I've not found paint.net to be that much use for photo editing by default. Are there a bunch of plugins you use? And how do you deploy them?

No plugins its locally installed on each pc.

In respect of not being very useful, it all depends on what your trying to do see the features https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/, Photoshop is just overkill but that's just my opinion especially at primary school level.
