Workstation Refresh - Supplier/Manufacturer recommendations

Recommended Posts

Posted

We are looking to replacing a large number of workstations and just wondered if anyone can recommend any suppliers or manufacturers that give great deals. As I'm sure is the case with most schools, we are on fairly tight budget and with such a large refresh we want to get the best deal possible.

We are mainly HP, Dell and Lenovo but would consider others makes if they come with good reviews from the community!

Cheers Rob

Hi Rob,

We'd be happy to get you some pricing. If you want to PM me with your requirements or just a general outline of what you hope to do, I'll see what we can do for you.

If you get the request across to me before the end of tomorrow also, then I can give you an extra 5% off of our list prices as our BETT offer runs until march :)

Refurbs refurbs refurbs refurbs refurbs.

Refurbs. Almost all suppliers offering a good stock of quality refurbs these days. I've had quotes from ICT Direct, AMC Computer Supplies and CCS recently.

Our Headteacher decided he didn't want refurbs last year. If you find yourself in a similar position then we bought all our kit from @VeryPC_Colin_M who I can highly recommend. No problems with any of the kit and a very helpful lovely guy to boot!

I am most lovely to lovely people and you are lovely Michelle! Thanks for the recommendation :D

I can certainly recommend @VeryPC - just about all our PCs are Broadleafs (Broadleaves?!) now - 5 year warranty (with great service too) is a boon and low energy use will see your 'leccy bills drop too.

Oh and of course @VeryPC_Colin_M is a legend at getting things done.

Bless you @sparkeh! One is reliably informed by the Great Al that it would be Broadleaf PCs  I can't believe we've been building it for some 8 years now.
