ParentMail instructions want us to change date range in CSV file, but we cant

I would have contacted ParentMail direct but they do not have a phone support anymore and their chat system is not working through our LA filtering system, which could take weeks to fix.

 

ParentMail have sent instructions for exporting a CSV file into and out of Sims and to then upload it to their systems, but we must make a change to the date column before uploading.

 

The instructions say -

Please open the ParentMail Reg file in excel

right click the date column and click format

select the date category and select the second one down.

 

Now this does change the dates from 03/03/2005 to 03 March 2005, but we get an error when trying to save the CSV - Some features in your workbook might be lost....... if we click OK and then re open the file the dates have not been saved in the new format.

 

After looking around on Google I can see that CSV files do not support real dates but simple numbers, so any idea how we would get the date range changed. The site needs it to be in CSV file when we upload.

You tried saving to Excel format first, fixing the data and then converting back to CSV?
