HI all !

i have a pbx that I need to add another AA option too. Samsung Officeserv 100.

Dial 1 for reception

Dial 2 for the blue room

I need to add a three for the "green room"

I am looking through the manual and cannot see where I do this either via the reception handset or via the pbx backend

I know how to change the greeting message but not the dial options.

Can someone help me please ?

Cheers

Hi all, thanks for the replies, really appreciated.

I am sure there is some logic to this system. As far as I can tell it is all down to one particular table

[732]

Entry No Input Digits Dest

1 0 500

2 2** B

3 3** B

4 5** B

5 8*** B

6 9 P3

At the moment Option 1 goes to one place and 4 to another

I would like to add IE 7 to go to 209

all the extensions are 201 > 216

I have just tried adding 7 in the input digits and then 209 in the destination but so far this does not work.

I can dial the whole 209 from the AA announcement and this does work !

So entry 2 is handling all this.......

I could cheat and move a couple of the extensions round to just make it work.

Hi all, again thanks for the replies.

I have created a way to do this by stealing one of the group extensions IE 507 and reconfiguring that for the time being.

Would still love to figure out how to do this direct IE option 2 goes to 209. Or maybe this cannot easily be done.

All this seems to work fine but I am sure there is a better way.

anyway. thanks all

I am having this same issue.

My Trunks ring to a direct extention or to 519.

I was able to find how to change the greeting. But how do you change what the buttons do?

Hi Magnus !

Sorry to hear your in the same place as I was.

I had to cheat a little and I used the ring group IE 501 / 502 / 503 etc and added the extension IE 209 to that.

Basicly when the caller rings in it looks for a digit match and I found a spare one and added this on and then the receptionist recorded a new greeting message on.

As I put I couldn't see entirely where this was supposed to go, and I think as I wanted to use extension 209 the 9 was being cancelled out as 9 is normally used to trigger dialling and outside line.

If you need the menu points for where I done things then ask but not back in office till tomorrow.

All best

I am completely new to this system.

What did you do to program what the buttons do? I found the AA translation tables but they don't seem to work.

How were you able to change the greeting assigned to 501,502, etc?

Hi Magnus, I didn't change any greeting except the one for when someone initially dials in.

IE, "Thank you for calling xyz establishment. Press 1 for Adam. Press 2 for Eve. etc. This is a global greeting done from the main handset.

Once the person presses said extension then the system goes. "Transferring you to extension five zero one or blah"

The recording is just a recording, try pressing an option that's not listed. I went through each one 1 through to 9 including zero and listed them out and this is where I worked out what I could and couldn't use. Found a free one and went from there.

I am no expert, just process and elimination and working our what works and doesn't. Listed out each extension and option and went from there. I read the chapters over and over till it kind of sunk in.

Good luck

Maybe I am missing something then.

Which manual do you have and can you send me copy?

My customer is using the system that was leftover when they moved in. So I am trying to patch it over

Some of those "transferring to 501" already has a name recorded

I have a new question you might have figured out. This has been frustrating me and it should be easy.

I have gotten the system to answer and play the greeting I want. I got into the programming by plugging into the serial port on the SVMi card and using putty.

The only problem is that when I call an extension I can get it to forward to group 519 or to the VMAA port. But this just plays the greeting again.

If I dial the VMAA port 249-252 from the phone itself I get into the voicemail for that phone.

How do I get an external call to go to 519 then press 1 for sales (502) then have to roll to the 502 vm box?

I have found the answer to this problem.

You have to log into the system using the serial cable interface and hyperterminal/putty.

Goto OpenBlock-->Menu--> forward station-->page down to input processor-->Find each station you want to forward and assign it to goto the correct mailbox.

Do the same thing for menu-->fwd trunk

Hopefully this helps someone else in future
