Hi

We have windows 2012 server and I had put the PAC url settings on my browser.

Internet explorer- Tools-Internet Options-Connections-LAN settings

Automatic Configuration-Use automation configuration script.

Even I remove the PAC URL completely and click OK and when i open the LAN settings windows. I can see the URL although it is greyed.

Is there any way I can completely remove although it is grayed.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I cleared the box on Windows 7 by doing this.

If you enable the use automatic configuration script option in control panel, then open regedit and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

There is then an AutoConfigURL entry. If you change that to blank then reopen the internet options from control panel it should be unticked and the box should be blank

I don't have Windows Server 2012 to test it on but am assuming it is the same entries
