Please how do deploy them o the network? Some background about your network would help? Server/Client? 2 PC's in a small office?
SHimmer45 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Install printer on printer server (usually create a IP port on the server to the printers IP) then share the printer this will give you a central print Q to manage if you wish create policy to add the printer to machines (choice of user or computer deployment) using GPO preferences right click on the printer and click deploy --> select which GPO policy you want to attach it to and your pretty much done* *this is slightly simplistic explanation but should give you a good start point, technet is your friend for this short of thing if just getting to grips with it. 2
dry Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Don't forget to add a DHCP reservation for the mac address of the printer, otherwise if a device sneaks in and takes the IP that you've assigned that printer on your print server, you'll have a load of unhappy users who can't print!
