bmatthews Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Hi, We're trying to deploy 4Matrix to all staff computers but we're having a few problems with it. We're using Specops deploy which sits on top of group policy to install the MSI from a shared folder to staff machines which is working well. The problem is that it relies on a settings XML file to be copied to the %Program Files%\4Matrix directory during install. The settings file contains connection details. Unfortunately the Specops deploy software doesn't copy the settings file to the client machine during install. If you manually browse to the share and initiate an install the settings file will copy across successfully. Has anyone had any experience deploying 4Matrix? Thanks !
synaesthesia Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Yes - don't do it. Run it from a share, far easier; instructions for doing so are provided with the software.

We have the exact same issue when using SCCM. It didn't happen when we first got it, but does now.
