I've been asked to research and purchase a couple of laptops - or similar kit with software for use by a small number of year 9 students who have learning difficulties.

These lads have issues with writing and we are looking for ways to engage them through ITs. Perhaps a word based product that can either be dictated to or can identify words phonetically.

Any suggestions, please?

G-Suite does voice typing and its free, we have had quite a bit of success with some of our SEN pupils. Alternatively there is Clicker a little pricey but works well for the less able

Clicker - Word Processor

If you find any alternatives that work well please post back as I'm always looking for ways to improve our SEN provision

Thanks. Do they all do dictation and if so, how quickly do they adapt to people's voices. How do they do with under-developed speech?
