Has anyone mounted a Unifi AP vertically on the wall?

 

Who ever has installed the previous wireless provision, has mounted a number of the existing AP's on angle brackets, which look suspiciously like modified shelf brackets.

Surely you just use the mounting bracket that comes with the AP? That's what we've done, we have a few on the wall but mostly on the ceilings

Likewise, I've got a few that are wall mounted in areas with very high ceilings but it's effectiveness and range don't appear to be any different from ceiling mounted devices...

 

I'm the worlds greatest bodger according to our site team but even I haven't used an angle bracket. Duct tape maybe, but an angle bracket...?

My biggest bodge is Velcro tape! Had a wall and ceiling with the paint pattern that sticks out like lots of mini spikes.

 

2 problems with this,1: Say goodbye to all your skin on your hand and 2: impossible to get the plate level so then it AP doesnt fit on it!

 

Velcro tape to the rescue!!!

Figured the supplied bracket would do the job, just wanted to check.

all of mine are wall mounted, the supplied bracket works fine.

Supplied bracket is fine, i've a few mounted on walls. But I've also slung some of mine above the suspended ceiling. Probably shouldn't do that really but I do document where they are.
